The Comission Federal de Electricidad (the Electric Company) has been described as a 'Black Hole'. People enter and never seem to emerge. Actually, they do eventually, but the workings of this system is time consuming and simply opening an account or closing one requires patience, skill, a knowledge of spanish and a bit of luck. |

Telefonos de Mexico is much the same and although the lines are usually shorter, the process requires a quantity of documents and the patience of a saint. |

Cellular phones are very unreliable in Puerto Vallarta and I recommend an answering machine at home. But, if you must have one of these little gadgets, I can help you decide which company is best, and which monthly plan suits your needs. |

Internet Connection I am a faithful PV Net user. They have been great over the years and their telephone support is very helpful (they also speak English). Monthly charges are around $230 pesos. I can help with the contract, and the initial set up for your computers internet connection. |
